my Passion Project is an online community blog that allows anyone to share what they really love to do with the world! Anyone may submit information about their Passion Project, which we then post on our community blog for the rest of our visitors to enjoy.

What is a Passion Project?

We all have things we don’t like to do. For many people that may include their full-time job. But we all have things we love to do, things we spend our extra time on, things we spend our money on. It can be a hobby, or it can be more than a hobby.

mPP is a quick and easy way for you to share with our large number of visitors. The advantages of posting here are

1. easier than creating and developing your own website.
2. get seen by a large number of viewers - all the mPP viewers!
3. super-easy - just fill out a quick form, upload some pictures, and you’re done!

Can I post something here?

Absolutely! We want you to. If you are wondering what you should submit, read the next question.  Then click on the giant Submit button and let the world know what you really love to do!

What kinds of things can I submit?

mPP is pretty wide open, we want to be able to share a wide variety of things that people love. The best way to what you can submit is to look at some of our previous posts.

That being said, we also ask that you follow these easy little rules:

1. No overtly sexual, racist, or hateful postings.  We try and keep the site within a PG rating.
2. Please don’t post explicit advertisments for your company.
3. With that in mind, we don’t really want to be talking about our 9-5 jobs here, so no posts about what you do full-time for a living.  If, however, you are freelancing on the side or moonlighting in a beloved commercial venture, feel free to tell us why you love it.

Can I link back to my own website?

Sure. As long as you are not overtly selling something you can definitely link back to your website. Free advertising? For a site that describes more about your Passion Project - yep.

In fact, there is a special field in the Submit form to input your own website. No need to really push it in the description - we’ll feature the website prominently when we create your post.

What if I want to post something that doesn’t fit in one of your Categories?

Good!  If we feel like your Project doesn’t fit appropriately, we’ll just create a new category for you. Peruse our list of Categories to see if you may fit in one first though.
